The fight.
My time with BigBadBabar and allstarrt is sadly coming to a conclusion. allstarrt left earlier today and BBB will be taking off within a few hours. It’s odd that my blog didn’t have much poker content while they were here as we actually all spent a fair amount of time grinding.
Anyway, I will be on my honeymoon for the next two weeks, and obviously my blog will be inactive over that time. When I get back I’m hoping to make an exciting announcement about some upcoming changes to the blog, which will hopefully take place in July/August.

BigBadBabar introduced me to My Brute, which has been a fun diversion. Check it out and make a brute to challenge mine. Basically you make a character and level it up (gaining hit points, strength and other attributes, new weapons, etc.) by fighting against other brutes.
Warnings: it is addictive, but you only get a limited number of fights each day. So you can’t waste unlimited time on it (which I think is good). But you do need to play daily (or close to) to continue progressing. Also, the servers are often shut down late (Eastern time) for maintenance, so it’s best to get your bruting done early in the day.

BigBadBabar has already been here for a few days and allstarrt has recently joined us. I believe that the significant balance of both my and BBB’s Poker Stars accounts have created a distortion in the space-time continuum and the result has been attracting other significant balances. I assume our ability to attract subsequent significant balances will now increase exponentially and our event horizon will expand.

BigBadBabar is staying with us (my wife and me) for a few days, and we’ve been playing a fair amount of poker. The other day my wife got a phone call while in the middle of a poker session. She asked me to take over for a minute and BigBadBabar joined me. We humorously lost a fair amount in a very short time period (standard spots like having QQ and running into AA on a ragged board), though I still firmly believe that we actually played very well. Shortly into the session, the following hand came up:

Here BBB and I differ on what occurred next.
My version:
Me: ‘Terrible card. I think it’s a check/fold.’
BBB: ‘But the pot’s huge! Call – I’ll give you a dollar if we’re wrong.’
I reluctantly click call, we get shown the ace of trump, BBB rolls his eyes, takes out his wallet, and disgustedly throws a single onto the table.
BBB’s version:
Me: ‘I don’t see how we’re ever good here. I say it’s a fold.’
BBB (dangling a $1 in front of me): ‘That’s not what Mr. Washington says!’ (I’m sure the words ’significant balance’ were used at some point in here too)
So we lost that pot too…but just to dispel some rumors that came up from a different blog I would like to clearly state that I played stellar, made a comeback, and booked a 7 big bet win before my wife came back (well, 8 big bets if you count the $1 from BBB).

Poker Stars recently sent out an email detailing two recent enhancements to account security: the PIN and the RSA token. I don’t really intend to go into detail about either here, except to say that I think they’re good ideas and that Stars players should look into them more deeply.
BigBadBabar and I were talking about the email and we both found it funny that we received the, “special email…because you maintain a significant PokerStars account balance.” Needless to say this wonderful turn of phrase has now found it’s way into many of our poker discussions.
For example: “I call here because there’s some chance we have the best hand, when we’re behind we have decent outs, the pot’s big, and…significant balance.”

Over the past few days I realized I had a few more AC memories I wanted to share:
allstarrt has been harassing me to talk about the chip rolling prop bet. I wasn’t there for it, so I told him to write it up and I’d post it. He refused, so all I can say is: there was a chip rolling prop bet in the hallway – allstarrt won. He’s pretty balla (happy now?).
As many people know, OnTheRail15 got involved in an $80/$160 heads up match. A few days later someone in my game asked me about this incident and described it thusly:
‘I saw him (OTR) sitting there with a few racks of blue ($10) chips. Then the next thing I know I look up and he’s coming back from the cage with a few racks of yellows ($20 chips).’
I mentioned that we tried to acclimatize fnupple to the US. This consisted mostly of imitating his German accent (ztandard, ztandard), and showing him the following YouTube videos.

More on allstarrt: he really loves muffins. BigBadBabar would usually wrap up his playing session sometime in the morning (say 8 or 9am) and then leave a muffin in the room for allstarrt to find when he work up a few hours later.
allstarrt: ‘I would sleep with Oprah because she’s rich and famous.’
My fiancée: ‘Skeet skeet skeet.’
In light of my recent nuptials, aumorgan doubts my ability to pick up the dealer. To this I borrow a line from BigBadBabar and say, “FALSE.”
aumorgan wasn’t there in subsequent days but anyone else in our group can back me up on this – she was very happy every time I was at the table or visited anyone I knew playing at the table she was dealing. Actually, it was a but funny – word got around in our group quickly and without my knowledge.
grease was in AC for the first few days (before the initial incident) and came back near the end of the trip. I stopped by his table to say hey and my dealer happened to be dealing. All of a sudden he leaned back and said, ‘Is this your dealer?’ and fist bumped me. I really have no idea when he heard about that.
Really our only failures for the trip:
No down escalator up running contest.
No drunk DC home game.

allstarrt is pretty degenerate. Things I have prop bet on in the last week (mostly his fault):
1) allstarrt offered me 10,000:1 on whether or not I’d get married. I quickly booked $1 of action, regarding that as a pretty cheap 10k insurance policy. I told my fiancée and I think allstarrt’s actually lucky she didn’t cancel the wedding and take his 10 dimes.
2) Someone allstarrt regularly plays live poker with gave him $550 in cash and asked him to send it back on Full Tilt Poker. allstarrt set a line on how much money this individual had lost (verified on Table Ratings) and asked me to take the over/under. The line was set at $4,000 in losses, and I took the over (more losses). The dude was down about $8,000.
3) How attractive BigBadBabar would rate a given female (on a scale of 1-10 with higher being better). I set the line at 6.5 and we pushed.
4) I purchased a suit for my wedding and was having a group chat with allstarrt and BigBadBabar:
BigBadBabar: wow (PygmyHero), deets (details) on suit?
PygmyHero: suit is…black?
PygmyHero: and…I dunno – what sort of deets do you want?
PygmyHero: it’s being altered because I’m shaped abnormally
PygmyHero: the guy literally winced when I told him my pant size
BigBadBabar ended up setting a line on my pants size.
While allstarrt was deciding on the over/under (I was to take the other side), someone else messaged me:
Person: hey, whats going on
PygmyHero: pretty much the usual
PygmyHero: prop betting on my pant size
The bet ended up pushing as allstarrt lost on waist and won on leg.

Sadly, the end. 
Today was actually kind of a rest day. We were all a bit wiped, especially after the soul depleting evening at the Taj Mahal. As usual, it’s a bit hard to say exactly when everything happened, so here are a few last highlights from the trip.
I was cashing out a couple racks one night and the line for the cage was long. Someone came up to me and bought $300 in chips so he wouldn’t have to wait in line. Then someone else came up and bought a whole rack. The lady behind me then asked for $100. I joked with the (new) person behind me that I should charge vig and that I’d be doing pretty well right now. Someone else came and bought a few hundred more, and I was left with a pretty paltry stack of chips. At this point, despite having booked a decent win, it looked like I had been on the wrong side of variance. Since I had not moved up in the line during this time and only had a hundred and some left in chips, I decided to leave the line.
A hand allstarrt played at the Taj:
2 limps, allstarrt overlimps 7s 6s in MP, two more people limp behind.
Flop: 8c 2c 2d (7 players)
Checked to the CO who bets, one call in front, allstarrt peels
Turn: Qs (3 players)
allstarrt’s description of the turn: ‘I improve to fold equity.’
Checked to the CO who bets, called in front, allstarrt raises, CO folds, player in front calls
River: Td (2 players)
Checked to allstart, he bets, player in front shows 9c 7c for a busted flush draw and folds
allstarrt shows his 8 high airball bluff. The CO (who folded the turn) grouses, ‘I would have called you with 9 high there.’
And to end on a happy note: Nina Williams, two time victim of credit card roulette…
My fiancée and I felt pretty bad for Nina, especially because we both like him. We wanted to get some chocolate covered strawberries from Gelato and my fiancée thought it’d be nice to get some for Nina. Naturally the first step was to social engineer him and discreetly learn that he liked strawberries.
So while everyone was down in the food court we went and bought a dozen chocolate covered strawberries (we even got three extra free! – I assume this was either because my fiancée is cute or because they thought we were a nice couple). We presented them to Nina and explained how we tricked him into revealing that he likes strawberries. He seemed surprised and very genuinely happy…but of course trying to repress it and act upset: ‘I’m angry that you tricked me…’ Those of you who know Nina probably know exactly what I mean.
And so the epic-ness draws to a close. It was really great to meet everyone! I will look forward to our next meeting. Thanks also to those who followed our adventures on this blog or in the DeucesCracked forums!

Apparently I am different than BigBadBabar expected.
There’s a sculpture by the Borgata main entrance (at least I think it’s the main entrance) that we walk by a couple of times a day. It’s very much on the way between our suite and the poker room, so when we pass it we almost always try to figure out what it is.
What am I?
Nina Williams believes it is flowers. Others feel it is sperm, or perhaps a water droplet splashing and rebounding against a surface. However, I am quite insistent that it is actually not a sculpture at all, but rather just a huge pile of dildos.
BigBadBabar: ‘Wow (PygmyHero), you’re nothing like I expected.’
Me: ‘What did you expect?’
BigBadBabar: ‘Dunno. Less dildos and more Excel spreadsheets…and pocket protectors.’
